What is FlushBIG?
FLUSHBIG is a space where you can say exactly how you feel about anything. As a member of the FLUSHBIG community you can find satisfaction by publicly or privately dedicating a (toilet) flush to honor the things that stink in your life. Consider it your online FlushList. It’s time to have a seat and take a stand!
Does it cost anything for me to use it?
It is 100% free to use FlushBIG. Sign up or Sign in and flush as often as you like!
How do you make money?
At this time we have an ad supported revenue model; however, we are looking into other ways to monetize the site.
How did you come up with the idea for FlushBIG?
We are brilliant masterminds. Don't you wish you came up with it first? Feel free to flush in our honor.
How do I flush?
Go to the FlushBIG Now! Section on the home page and select what has inspired you to flush, either something in your own life or out in the world. You can select from the list in the drop down or select other and type your own source of inspiration. The module will expand. Next select the type of flush, followed by entering who or what you are flushing. You can select from people who are already on FlushBIG or enter someone new. Enter their email address if you want them to receive notification that they've been honored with a flush (optional). Type why it stinks and enter a URL (if applicable). Finally select who you want to see the flush in their FlushFeed. Click Flush!
Who can I flush?
You can flush in honor of anyone or anything, even if they are not a member of the FlushBIG community.
Can I flush anonymously?
Absolutely! FlushBIG offers the option to flush anonymously by selecting Anonymous in the FlushBIG Now! section.
What if I want to flush without sending it to anyone?
You can keep your own private list of flushes by selecting Private in the FlushBIG Now! section.
Will I get in trouble for being mean?
We reserve the right to delete posts (and/or suspend your account) at our discretion for activities that are considered offensive or defamatory. Do not use this site to attack any person or group based on Race, Religion, Nationality, Physical or Mental Disability, or Sexual Preference. Simply use the site in good fun and in good taste.
Can I share flushes?
Flushes can be shared with a number of social networking sites by clicking the "Share" button in each flush in the Flushfeed. If you have signed into your Facebook and/or Twitter account through the Other Networks tab under Find People then your flushes will automatically be shared.
How do I invite my friends to use FlushBIG?
You can invite friends to your FlushList in one of three ways. Go to Find People, click the Other Networks Tab and either search for friends who are already on FlushBIG, or sign into other networks including Gmail, Yahoo, AOL, Facebook, and Twitter. Your contacts will appear for you to invite. You can also invite friends by manually enter an email address. All three options allow you to include a personalized message.
Can I Block or Remove people from my FlushList?
Doing some Spring cleaning? People can be removed from your FlushList by clicking on their name/username anywhere on the site and going to their Profile page. Click Remove from FlushList or Block. Problem solved.
What's a FlushAward?
FlushBIG generates an award certificate each time a flush is added to the FlushFeed. Anyone can download or print a FlushAward .pdf by clicking the FlushAward link. It's quite an honor to receive one.
Are you keeping score?
Where would the fun be if we didn't keep score? The Flush Count module on the home page (and your profile page) helps you keep track of the number of times you've flushed or been flushed. If you receive enough flushes you may win the dubious honor of appearing in FlushBIG's Most Flushable list on the home page.
Do you have an API?
Yes! If you are a developer interested in using our API, please contact us at developers@flushbig.com.
Does your toilet character have a name?
